We built a website on the WordPress Content Management System (CMS).
The website has was designed and built with the user in mind - the video in the homepage banner plays on roll over - and without sound as this is best practice for users with dementia.
The members are all active and passionate about rasing awareness for charity. On the site, they have their own biography with their Twitter handle, so they can be reached directly. This information automatically pulls through to blogs and stories that they have written. It was important that we gave each member some individuality and personality, so they can be contacted.
The steering group are all passionate about what they do and they campaign for dementia awareness across the country, attend events, speak and many have their own online presence.
Administrators on the site have roles with different access levels so they can add different content. For example, some can add new pages, others can add stories and blogs.
