Somehow it’s April already, so we decided to have a good old ‘spring clean’ of our own site. We’re used to building clean, user-friendly sites, but we really decided to push the boat out on this one.
Our new site has everything you’d expect, navigation, images and even a .gif or two, all wrapped up with a hint of nostalgia. See for yourself here!
For one day only
Thankfully 1st April doesn’t last long, so feast your eyes on possibly the best, worst site we’ve ever done! It’s safe to say websites have come a long way since the 90’s! The days of 640 x 480px screens, hilariously unnecessary animations, under construction signs, hideously distracting backgrounds and visitor counters are long gone, but there are a few other beauties out there if you look hard enough...
Which?
It’s not just these sites that are stuck in the past - large companies with marketing budgets to match are still not getting right. Last year, Which? asked 10,000 members about their satisfaction with some of the biggest shopping websites and a surprisingly high number were unhappy with their experience.
Harry Rose, Which? Editor, said: ‘The online shops with the happiest customers tend to be the ones that offer a personal service, quality items, and deliver quickly and conveniently.’
These days customers are expecting a high level of service and seamless experience from anywhere, on any device. You can read the Which? article here.
