We recently trialled this AI to create Clear a new, fresh, stand-out-of-the- crowd ‘brand’ using one of the various tools on the internet, which had some interesting results, to say the least.

According to one AI branding company, they‘ve created logos for more than 5 million people in nearly 200 countries, achieving more than 10 billion logos. These tools are often free and take only a few steps to create the logo. It makes it simple to create your own branding exactly how you want, with minimum experience required.
Our Experience
We found the process to be very quick. It starts with a few basic questions - company name, company colours, desired slogan and then asked us to pick a favourite design from some examples. This produced multiple mock-ups to choose from. We were then able to edit a design and see what it looks like on various pieces of corporate merchandise – including on a plane! Which is, of course, always useful to know. ??
At no point did we have to pay anything, although signing up seems to be a requirement for a few of these tools.

As mentioned, AI brand creation provides multiple designs to choose from. However, we felt something was missing. What happens if you don’t know your font style? What if you have a specific, unique colour that you want to incorporate? Ultimately, what if you want something that’s a little more unique.
In my opinion, having looked at the options available, AI branding for a small start-up or hobby seems to be a good option. However, when promoting a company, brand becomes very important. A brand is what people see first, and is the ‘face’ of a company - so it’s key to get right!
An AI generator won’t take the time to understand your brand. It can’t listen to some of the more abstract aspirations you might have for the branding. It certainly can’t create something that’s unique to you – colours and stock imagery might look nice on a computer screen but they won’t help you stand out from the crowd.
