Our Digital Marketing Director, Peter attended the ‘Business Culture Workshop: Middle East’ by The Department of International Trade on Thursday 12th December at KPMG’s Birmingham offices.
The well-attended event threw light on how to do business in the Middle East which including some do’s and some definite don’ts! Business-Etiquettes and business culture, as well as ways to communicate and manage when working with companies in the Middle East.
Peter was able to put his firsthand experience in dealing with and managing in the Middle East after setting up and running a Digital Marketing Agency in Dubai to good use. Peter said:
“My 3 years in Dubai were an eye-opener and puts me in an ideal position to offer export consultancy for the MENA region to many of our clients who are looking for new markets".
Peter attended to catch up on the latest developments and thought most things haven’t changed such as e-commerce is still rapidly growing and the key sectors are:
- Education,
- Training
- Construction
- Engineering
But what was interesting are the changes in RKSA (Saudi) with the two major Red Sea and Neon City projects, which Peter found truly awe-inspiring and a great opportunity for UK businesses.
Peter found it was an insightful day and intends to help our clients who work across the world including, Canada, USA, Dubai, Spain and Australia. Peter says:
“A number of our existing clients are already well established within the export arena and there are exciting opportunities working with them."
One of our key clients of 3 years is Morris Site Machinery - they won Export Business of the year in the 2018 Black Country Chamber of Commerce awards - we are proud to be associated with them."
