The brief
After building the new Wedge website, Clear started working on their digital marketing, which has now been running for over a year. The site was built to be SEO friendly, but we needed to help Wedge capture more of the market by optimising the site, refining the targeting strategy, and running a Google Ads campaign.

The client hadn't run Google Ads before, so part of the initial phase was to explore this new avenue and see what kind of traction and growth we could generate.
Our strategy
As with all good SEO and PPC strategies, the first step was to conduct relevant keyword research. Identifying core terms to target, that are relevant to the client but that also have sufficient search volume is pivotal. Once that's done, ensuring those terms are represented on the site, through key pages, optimised content and suitable technical elements creates a great baseline.
Ongoing optimisation followed, refining what we'd done, responding to changes in the market and ensuring the general health and functionality of the site is running optimally.
Our Google Ads strategy made use of the keyword research too. One of the benefits of PPC is you can efficiently target more keywords, so we expanded our portfolio further. We then built out the new account to effectively capture the search volume, with high quality ad copy that promoted Wedge's services and core USPs.
Demonstrating ROI is also key. Implementing clear conversion tracking on the site allowed us to track progress and optimise performance.
The results
In the year we've been working with Wedge, we've had some excellent results, despite some challenges in the wider environment that can impact growth and performance.
In this time, the number of keywords Wedge have on page one of Google has increased over 80%, dramatically increasing their visibility for highly relevant search queries.
Traffic is up around 40% year on year, which is great. Google Ads has grown from having zero presence for Wedge to accounting for almost 10% of their visits, and this is set to grow further with recent expansion.
From the data available, conversions have done incredibly well, with significantly more enquiries submitted - through emails, contact forms and phone calls.
Most importantly, Wedge are really pleased with what's been achieved so far and are keen to see what we can achieve together in year two.
