The brief

After building their new ecommerce website, we were committed to offering continued support. When they mentioned us taking on their SEO and PPC management, we jumped at the chance.

Their existing Google ads were running smoothly, but there were some areas in need of improvement. The first challenge was to design new ad campaigns, improve their targeting strategies and set up additional tracking so we could monitor results in more detail.

Our strategy

We planned and carried out a complete overhaul of their Google Ads account structure. This included adding more specific ad groups focusing on specific target markets and restructuring their budget to get the most out of each campaign. We also added detailed ad extensions and structured their negative keyword lists, as well as editing ad copy and a whole range of other improvements.

We also ran Bing and social media ad campaigns at key times of year to drive traffic and increase brand awareness.

The results

Since starting work back in August 2018, the PPC accounts are generating more traffic to the site, with a better conversion rate and lower average cost per conversion. All this means a bigger return on investment and more revenue generated.

Organic performance has also been strong thanks to carefully chosen keywords and a holistic approach that includes on and off-page optimisation. Of our target keywords, 31 now sit on page one of Google, compared to just five when we started out. Of these, 10 are ranked in position one.
