Because we were able to support Berwick with so much of their visual output, we were able to create a seamless and consistent experience for their customers. Especially important for the care industry where trust plays a big part in the decisions being made.
The themes of care, support and full-service integration are key to Berwick’s offering and we majored in these themes when developing a solution for their logo and art direction.
Following on from the main Berwick branding, we also created several sub-brands to allow them to launch new products.
Comida is a lifestyle brand that we created to feel humanistic and personal with its signature style and characterful strokes. The examples in the images show part of a social media and print campaign, we created many campaigns for Berwick and have had outstanding results.
We also created the 'CORE' brand to market a bespoke ordering portal that we designed and built for Berwick. CORE was created to support care home buyers and reaffirm Berwick’s position as being by their side and making their life easier.
To further strengthen their marketing lineup, a new website was designed and built in Magento 2 to accommodate their hundreds of categories and thousands of product lines, it also needed to act as a brochure site to allow Berwick to build trust and showcase their range of services.
Berwick originally approached us about having four separate sites but we advised them to combine them into one to aid with search-ability and admin times. This would be both a brochure and a transactional website with integration into their ERP system.
It would also require:
- A dedicated landing page for their Comida range of dining chairs
- Live chat
- Bespoke pricing per customer
- Multiple wishlists with CSV import functionality
- Sub-user accounts
- A strong redirect strategy
- Migrate data from previous Magento 1 website
To make the content and functionality of four sites work as one, we knew that clever design and art direction would need to be carefully thought out to create an experience that felt approachable and easy to digest, helping busy users to not feel over faced. We also wanted to ensure Berwick’s personable, family values resonated through the style of the site.
Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, this site was prioritised and set live at the end of March 2020. This allowed Berwick to supply urgently needed PPE and sanitising products to care homes as quickly and efficiently as possible.
We later conducted a UX review to ensure the site was still performing and to tighten up any areas where innovation or UX techniques could be applied to ensure the site continued to perform optimally.
