Specialists in care home equipment and hygiene
Our approach to meet the brief on this project began with the decision to create the new site on a Magento 2 platform to accommodate their hundreds of categories and thousands of product lines. This allowed us to migrate their product, customer and order data from their Magento 1 store to their new Magento 2 installation, which also included dedicated CMS page templates to promote all of their other services. A strong redirect strategy was also put in place to ensure all traffic was now being pointed to their sole domain.
The rebuild also gave the opportunity to update the look of the website. It was given a fresh new look to really show off their ‘furniture by room’, ‘equipment’ and ‘care and hygiene’ top-level categories. Colour was injected into the website to provide warmth and improve navigation.
Due to a change of internal systems at Berwick Care and the outbreak of Coronavirus, this site was prioritised and set live at the end of March 2020, without its ERP integration in place. This allowed Berwick to supply urgently needed PPE and sanitizing products to care homes as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Work is now underway completing the Magento 2 and Netsuite integration, which is due to go live later this summer.

Hope everyone’s OK out there. As a digital agency, we’re lucky that the virus hasn’t affected us too much. To protect our staff, everyone is working remotely, and all project work is carrying on as normal. It’s possible there could be some delays here and there though, particularly if team members fall ill. We’ll keep you posted. All we ask is that you email rather than call if possible, as we have fewer people on the phones at the moment.
Stay safe, and see you soon :)
