Throughout the year, we'll be working with their team to assist in improving their marketing collateral and digital presence - along with some fundraising efforts too, pandemic permitting!
About SHFA
Since their establishment in 1993, they’ve worked alongside other local groups concerned with the needs of the homeless, offering free and confidential housing advice to those who need it. They believe that what’s good for landlords is also good for tenants; if rent can be paid, landlords are able to meet their commitments and tenants are securely housed.
Last year, SHFA launched their Tulip Project, which aims to support the many people who have lost their jobs or on reduced hours due to the pandemic. The project further builds upon their existing services, assisting with:
- Benefit claims and ongoing variations to the amount paid
- Ensuring that all correct benefits are claimed
- Understanding of tenancy agreements and the options for both landlords and tenants
- Implications of allowing rent arrears to accrue for future options for housing
- One of the current main targets for SHFA is to target potential landlords as well as further relations with current landlords.
Big plans for 2021
We’re excited to see what our collaboration with the charity will achieve for them over the next year. We’ve already started to develop their branding and have plenty more plans in the pipeline.
