About the role
Our projects range from fresh Magento builds, to UX changes, to upgrades and security patches.
One day you might be debugging a Magento API issue; the next, you could be building a new Hyvä theme. What You’ll Do
- Magento 2 development work, including new site builds, patches, upgrades, and site migrations
- Develop and maintain Magento 2 frontends using the Hyvä theme, ensuring high performance and exceptional user experience
- Work with Tailwind CSS and Alpine.js to build highly optimized and responsive user interfaces that meet modern web standards
- Collaborate with design and UX teams to bring to life exciting features that improve customer engagement
- Ensure thorough testing on all projects, including cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness
- Participate in code reviews and help define technical best practices
- Proactively contribute to improving dev workflows, tooling, and documentation
About you
- 2+ years’ experience in Magento 2 development
- A solid understanding of Hyvä theme development and familiarity with its use of Tailwind CSS and Alpine.js
- Experience creating custom Magento modules and extending core Magento functionality
- Strong understanding of OO PHP, MVC, and Magento design patterns
- Experience working with REST/SOAP APIs
- Comfortable working with Docker containers
- Experience with Linux server environments, SSH, and command-line tools
- Proficient with Composer and Git
- Experienced in participating in code reviews and promoting team standards
- WordPress or Shopify experience isn't required but would be a bonus
- Strong problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude
- Clear, collaborative communicator who enjoys working in a team
