We have an exciting opportunity for a WordPress Developer to join our growing team.

This position can be office based (Shrewsbury), fully remote (UK) or a combination of the two. Flexible working hours and days are also available.

About the role

With a passion for learning and a great eye for detail, you will be delivering eye-catching, functional websites to client's expectations and deadlines.

You’ll be working as part of a team, alongside Backend Developers, Designers and Account Managers during the entire development lifecycle of a project, as well as supporting live projects. Technologies you’ll be working with include: Sass, JavaScript (Vanilla, jQuery), Gulp, Git and some PHP.

We work with large multi-national corporations, and also local SME's - no two days or projects are the same!

Experience & Salary

1+ years of experience of WordPress Development.

Competitive salary, depending on experience. Remote and flexible working available.

About you

  • Experience with WordPress theme development.
  • A keen eye for good UI/UX design & attention to detail.
  • An understanding of how to translate business needs into effective UI/UX design.
  • Excellent HTML5, CSS3 and vanilla JavaScript knowledge.
  • Good understanding of Git version control.
  • Ability to produce clean and well documented code.
  • Ability to communicate with clients and adjust designs to fit their needs.
  • Excellent organisational and time-keeping skills.
  • You should be proactive with an enthusiastic approach.
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision.

Nice to have:

  • Responsive website design experience.
  • Shopify or Magento theming experience.
  • WCAG Accessibility requirements.
  • Search Engine Optimisation knowledge.
  • An understanding of Advanced Custom Fields.
  • Experience with WordPress multisite.
  • Experience with internationalisation.
