Overview
DIBO, part of The Nutriment Group, is a European raw pet food brand looking to expand into the UK market.
While Nutriment already operated in the UK, DIBO had no dedicated UK website or digital platform.
Clear was commissioned to develop a Shopify website that would act as an entry point into the UK market, with a focus on future-proofing rather than immediate ecommerce capability.
The platform was intentionally non-transactional, supporting a retail-first model where customers are directed to stockists.
Clear has also been working with The Nutriment Group on the design of a new Shopify website to consolidate a number of additional brands into a single B2B ecommerce platform.
How we helped
- UX Design Optimisation
- Shopify Website Design
- Shopify Website Development
- Raw Feeding Calculator
- Stockist Finder Integration
- Product Page UX Design
- Multi-Brand Platform Strategy
- B2B Shopify Platform Planning
- International Website Localisation
The Brief
DIBO needed a UK website that could introduce the brand to a new market while supporting long-term ecommerce ambitions.
The platform needed to function as:
- A brand-led, non-transactional experience
- A foundation for future ecommerce development
The project also involved working alongside a third-party branding agency, who supplied the initial designs.
While visually strong, these designs required refinement to improve usability and ensure they could perform effectively as a digital experience.
At the same time, the platform needed to align with a longer-term strategy of consolidating multiple brands into a single ecommerce system.
The Approach
Shopify Website Development
DIBO required a modern platform that could act as a UK entry point while being flexible enough to support future ecommerce.
Clear built the website on Shopify, using it as a future-ready platform rather than a transactional store.
Key elements included:
- Structuring the platform to support future ecommerce rollout
- Translating third-party designs into build-ready layouts
- Creating a scalable foundation for future brand consolidation
UX Design & Product Page Optimisation
While the initial brand designs provided strong visual direction, they required refinement to perform effectively as a digital product experience.
Clear’s design team worked to:
- Convert the designs into Figma-ready development assets
- Improve information hierarchy and product content structure
- Ensure the design prioritised usability and conversion performance
James, our UX designer, also led the creation of new product page layouts, aligning them with the brand aesthetic while ensuring a stronger focus on usability and customer journeys
Stockist Finder
Because DIBO products are primarily sold through retailers, helping customers locate stores was essential.
We implemented a stockist locator page, enabling users to quickly find nearby retailers that stock DIBO products.
This feature:
- Strengthens relationships with retail partners
- Helps drive in-store sales
- Supports the brand’s distribution model
Raw Feed Calculator
A key challenge for customers new to raw feeding is determining the correct portion sizes for their dogs.
To solve this, we built an interactive raw feed calculator that allows users to input details such as:
- Dog weight
- Breed
- Feeding preferences
The calculator provides personalised feeding recommendations, helping customers understand the product and reinforcing the brand’s expertise.
This tool acts as both a conversion driver and educational resource.
B2B Shopify Design (The Nutriment Group)
Clear has led the design of a new B2B ecommerce platform for the German market.
This platform will allow trade customers such as pet stores and distributors to order directly online from a number of the Group’s brands.
The vision is to create a centralised trade sales system that will gradually replace several smaller brand-specific trade platforms.
Key features include:
- Multi-brand catalogue management
- Tailored experiences for different trade customers
- Brand customisation within the same platform architecture
Trust Your Gut Educational Platform
In addition to ecommerce and brand websites, The Nutriment Group also commissioned an educational platform called Trust Your Gut.
This WordPress website was created to promote a scientific study into the benefits of raw feeding for pets.
The platform functions as an educational hub and connects multiple brands across the group.
Key elements include:
- Research-based content explaining raw feeding benefits
- Links between Nutriment, DIBO and related brands
- Cross-promotion across the brand ecosystem
- Localisation for the German market
- This initiative helps position the brands as leaders in evidence-based pet nutrition.
