Ed Povey studied Urban Design before moving into web design and development, creating websites for clients ranging from Michelin-starred restaurants to financial services and charitable organisations. Around 15 years ago, he launched his own online D2C eCommerce business selling location-based art, giving him valuable insight into the commercial realities of running a business. Ed joined Clear three years ago and now works on some of our largest and most complex website builds.

Specialising in Magento and Shopify development, digital strategy, and conversion rate optimisation, Ed handles major projects and retained support for a mix of B2B and D2C clients. His blend of creative and technical expertise allows him to collaborate effectively across teams and deliver solutions that support real business growth.

Key highlights include launching Barnes & Mullins’ first eCommerce website for Faith Guitars and delivering Clear’s first Hyvä Theme and Checkout site for Landowner Products.

Fun facts: Ed once appeared on Cash in the Attic, owns a classic Mini, and is surprisingly good with a yo-yo.
