With the New Year drawing ever closer, we look to 2016 and what the world of digital will bring into the New Year and how we can ensure we’re staying ahead of the game. Here’s a rundown of our predictions for 2016.
Mobile will continue to dominate 2016 and for the foreseeable future, as Google announced earlier in 2015 that mobile traffic had finally taken over desktop which will see us transforming our marketing efforts and rethinking the way our content is displayed. Making your website responsive is now a necessity for your business as well as an investment for the future.
We also saw a huge rise in video content, with Facebook hitting over 8 billion daily video views alone. Videos are no longer YouTube's domain and are now beginning to be rivalled by companies such as SnapChat and Vine. These new competitors are changing the way we view content and content creation, right to live streaming. Nielsen claims 64% of marketers expect video to dominate their strategies in the next year.
With the launch of the AppleWatch in 2015, it’s without a doubt that this trend will continue to grow in 2016. Companies will be challenged with new ways to market to the end user to ensure their message is communicated properly through this technology. Voice search is also becoming more popular meaning content will have to be optimised to accommodate voice based searches.
However, the most important factor is still quality content; this has always and will continue to be an important factor of a customer gauging whether your company is relevant or not. Quality content helps build a customer’s confidence and trust that you are an expert within your industry. Research suggests that we decide whether we like a website within one-twentieth of a second so if you’re not creating engaging content, you can be sure your target audience will be looking elsewhere.
Here at Clear 90% of our websites are now responsive and built with SEO in mind ensuring we can fully optimise quality content to get your business working online.
