Senior Digital Marketing Manager

We’re looking for a highly organised, analytical and delivery-focused Senior Digital Marketing Manager to join our team.

This role sits directly beneath the Head of Growth Marketing and focuses on delivering high-quality digital marketing across Growth-focused clients. You will combine hands-on implementation with team leadership and client delivery, ensuring strategy is translated into action and performance.

This is a delivery-led role. You will be actively involved in campaign execution, optimisation, reporting and client performance management, while supporting and guiding specialists across channels.

  • Act as the day-to-day delivery lead for assigned Marketing clients.
  • Support regular client check-ins focused on performance, actions taken, and next steps.
  • Translate channel strategy into clear briefs, tasks, and delivery priorities.
  • Ensure clients have clarity on what is being delivered, why it matters, and how it contributes to growth.
  • Escalate strategic questions, risks, or opportunities to the Head of Growth Marketing

What You’ll Be Doing

Implementation & Optimisation

  • Implement and optimise digital marketing activity across PPC, Paid Social, SEO, CRO, email and analytics based on client priorities
  • Take ownership of complex or high-impact workstreams where senior execution is required
  • Ensure campaigns are structured, tracked and optimised against agreed objectives
  • Conduct regular performance analysis and apply insights to improve results
  • Troubleshoot performance, tracking or delivery issues and support specialist escalation

 

Client Delivery & Day-to-Day Management

  • Act as the day-to-day delivery lead for assigned marketing clients
  • Support regular client check-ins focused on performance, actions and next steps
  • Translate strategy into clear briefs, priorities and deliverables
  • Ensure clients understand what is being delivered, why it matters and how it supports growth
  • Escalate strategic risks and opportunities to the Head of Growth Marketing where needed

 

Team Leadership & Support

  • Review, QA and refine team output before it reaches clients
  • Provide coaching, technical guidance and feedback to specialists
  • Ensure workloads are balanced and delivery expectations are clear
  • Identify skills gaps and support development within the team
  • Maintain high standards of execution across all channels

 

Performance Oversight & Reporting

  • Own the quality and accuracy of reporting for assigned clients
  • Ensure reporting focuses on insight, performance drivers and next steps
  • Monitor performance against KPIs and flag risks early
  • Feed delivery insights into future strategy and planning

 

Ways of Working & Standards

  • Maintain strong documentation, processes and communication
  • Improve delivery templates, workflows and efficiencies where needed
  • Work closely with Client Services, Development and Design teams
  • Support consistency in delivery across the digital marketing team

 

What You’ll Need

  • 3 to 6+ years experience in digital or performance marketing
  • Strong grounding across PPC, Paid Social, SEO, CRO, email and analytics, with deeper expertise in PPC preferred
  • Agency experience managing multiple clients
  • Hands-on implementation experience across core digital channels
  • Experience mentoring or reviewing junior team members
  • Strong analytical skills and commercial mindset
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to explain performance to clients
  • Highly organised, proactive and detail-focused approach
